The property management solutions delivered by ManageAmerica enable owners and operators of manufactured home communities to handle virtually all aspects of the property management lifecycle including prospect tracking, applicant screening, lease document management, utility billing, lease payment, electronic payments, work orders, home inventory management and more. 

As an OCR Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in implementing, testing, and refining OCR technologies that convert scanned documents and images into digital formats. You will work closely with our software engineering teams, learning about the latest developments in machine learning, AI, and image processing, while helping enhance our OCR systems' accuracy and efficiency. 

Essential Functions 

Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of OCR models in a utility billing platform. 

Support the data processing pipeline, including image cleaning, segmentation, and enhancement for better OCR accuracy. 

Collaborate with the development team to integrate OCR features into larger applications or systems. 

Create classification and custom extraction models.  

Conduct research on new OCR tools, techniques, and algorithms to optimize performance.  

Help analyze and evaluate OCR results, identifying patterns and areas for improvement.  

Debug and resolve technical issues related to OCR software and systems.  

Document progress, insights, and codebase contributions. 

Qualifications 

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.  

Basic knowledge of OCR tools. 

Familiarity with machine learning concepts, especially in the context of image processing.  

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.  

Familiarity with Azure AI Document Intelligence Studio.
