Accountant (Government Property) | Strategic Systems Programs (U.S. Department of Navy)

You will be responsible for supporting property accounting, including capitalization determination, asset valuation, depreciation and analysis.

You will perform all aspects of financial reporting and internal control management for property accounting/accountability.

You will prepare and review journal vouchers, financial reports and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement process and system improvements for internal controls and to resolve audit findings.

You will develop and maintain internal property financial program (i.e. Policy, Procedures, Manuals and Training).

You will maintain accounting records, furnish accounting data, prepare, review and analyze accounting reports.

You will develop and implement corrective action plans (CAPs) to remediate external and internal audit findings or issues.
